Best buy till date

i upgraded from a d3100 after 4 years of shooting with it. its worth every penny and feels like heaven using it. the ISO is one of the USP and gets real great images with the full frame. one of the best buys for those who wanna go FX

Great buy

Having used a Canon 5D MKIII for work I was looking for a similar full frame camera for personal use. The colours are great! Great in low light, the lens in this kit is really sharp

Great in low light; shoots fast; good battery life

Quality Images at an affordable price

I started out with the D5100. I went to college to learn photography, but I still consider myself a serious enthusiast rather than a total professional. While I was in school, we learned on the Nikon D90. The main reason for switching from DX to FX is the sensor.

Amazing DSLR worth its price

First of all lets look about its specifications: -It has a 24.3 MP cmos sensor . My Views Its a great camera. Great for professionals.According to my budget I had chosen two dslr. First is Nikon D610 and the other was D7100. But after trying both the dslr I settled for D610.

While I hope to create a full Nikon 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G AF-S VR Lens, my first priority is to include results from this lens in the lens comparison tools available on the site. This page currently exists because it is required by the database and content management systems for me to post information...

Nikon Nikkor AF-S 24-85 mm f/3.5-4.5G ED VR

In 2000 Nikon launched the Nikkor AF 24–85 mm f/2.8–4D IF lens but, as it didn't have an ultrasonic motor, two years later the line-up of that producer was complemented by a bit slower Nikkor AF-S 24–85 mm f/3.5–4.5G IF-ED, already equipped with such a motor.

good image quality in the frame centre; decent image quality on the edge of APS-C/DX; good correction of the longitudinal chromatic aberration; not bothersome distortion on APS-C/DX sensor; almost imperceptible coma on the smaller detector; moderate vignetting on APS-C/DX; silent and accurate...

slacks on the manual focus ring; weak image quality on the edge of full frame; very high lateral chromatic aberration and on both types of detectors to boot; noticeable spherical aberration; pronounced distortion at the ends of focal range on full frame; high vignetting level on the bigger detector,...

Nikon 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G ED VR AF-S Nikkor review by infocus

I chose this for my full frame D600 for general use, because the 24-120mm f4 is bigger, heavier and twice as expensive, and according to several tests not much better - and soft above 85mm.

Very convenient focal range; compact and very sharp except corners

Not perfect for full frame cameras; despite being kit lens for D600

Overall, the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-85mm ED VR lens does offer a useful focal range, well-implemented Vibration Reduction system, fast auto focus and respectable build quality, all in a relatively lightweight and compact design.
