Panasonic 45-150mm f/4-5.6 ASPH MEGA OIS LUMIX G VARIO review by PeteD

purchased as a light weight telephoto option for travel. focus is decent and for a consumer grade telephoto the optics are surprisingly sharp. it is a bet lens at 150mm than the 45-200. yes I wish it was faster but then it would be much bigger and expensive!

light small and for a consumer telephoto surprisingly decent

for the price?

Probably a great lens

I ordered this lens to use with my BMDPCC it has image stabilization but it's controlled by the camera which the Black Magic Design Pocket Cinema Camera cannot do. Using the BMDPCC hand held with this lens with the BMDPCC's 3X crop factor it was hard to get a steady shot when using the zoom with out...

Lightweight; Strong Construction

Slow Focus

Value for money!

It's certainly a lens you should have with you! It gives you good quality photos, nice zoom in and at a price that does not kill your budget!

I've had this lens for only two weeks now but have managed to use it everyday in a variety of situations from nature, landscapes, an outdoor nighttime concert, close ups and people at a party. It has surpassed my expectations for the price.

It is good cooperation

It is easy, compact, fast and sharp a lens. But I will change it on Olympus M.Zuiko 40-150mm - which does more art drawing, than Lumix. It is my personal preference. Yours Lumix is a good lens.

REVIEW: Panasonic Lumix G Vario 45-150mm f/4.0-5.6 Lens Review

Handling and features This 3.3x telephoto zoom lens for Micro Four Thirds system cameras, provides a zoom range equivalent to a 90-300mm lens on a 35mm camera. It also includes optical image stabilisation, a silent focusing motor and a relatively lightweight, compact design.

Panasonic Lumix G Vario 45-150mm Lens Review

Gary Wolstenholme reviews the Panasonic Lumix G Vario 45-150mm f/4.0-5.6 lens for Micro Four Thirds system cameras.

Reasonably priced; Lightweight; Excellent sharpness in the centre between 45mm and 75mm; Deep circular hood included; Extremely low distortion; Effective optical stabiliser; Low CA

Although sharpness is good at 150mm; it could be better

Panasonic Lumix G 45-150mm f/4-5.6 OIS - Review / Test Report

Seems as if Panasonic got a hobby - the Panasonic Lumix G 45-150mm f/4-5.6 OIS is already their 5th(!) tele zoom lens introduced since they started the micro-four-thirds system a few years ago. Of course, each has its own specific agenda. This latest variant is about size.

"45-150 mm - compact, economical & sharp"

"Had it for over a year now and am quite pleased. Admittedly, it has neither power zoom nor an external IS switch, and is a bit 'shorter' than a couple of the other available mid-zooms. However, it is compact, sharp and economical to acquire.
