Excellent M43 zoom

Tack sharp, fast, constant aperture, constant physical length throughout the zoom range, very small for its specs, effective in-lens IS, even with an Oly OM-10. This is an amazing lens.

Panasonic Lumix G X VARIO 35-100mm f/2.8 Power OIS - Review / Test Report

Micro-Four-Thirds (MFT) may offer the most extensive mirrorless lens system but even so it has one significant shortcoming - professional-grade MFT tele-zoom lenses are rare. Very rare. Essentially, ambitious users have the choice between ... well ...

Wonderful lens, sharp, contrasty, fast

Superb lens, images are sharp, nice contrast and colour. My favourite Canon lens was the 70-200 f2.8 L IS; this lens is a great match at equivalent focal length. Have printed images from lens at A3 - no issues that I can detect. Nice and light and complete zoom is within the barrel. Terrific lens.

Consistent Output; Durable; Lightweight; Quick Focus; Sharp Focus; Weather sealed

I own the DSLR version of this lens, the 70-200 2.8. While this lens isn't on the same level, it's an amazing lens for any micro 4/3 telephoto needs. It's sharp and light weight. Autofocus speed is fine, though with this lens and my m43 cameras, it's not fast enough for sports and fast action.

Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 35-100mm F2.8 ASPH.

The Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 35-100mm F2.8 ASPH. is a wide-aperture telephoto zoom for Micro Four Thirds cameras, but its performance suffers at the edges of the frame.

Optical stabilization; Maximum f/2.8 aperture; Useful zoom range; Compact; Internal zoom design; No noticeable distortion.

Some edge softness.

Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 35-100mm F2.8 ASPH. Review

The Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 35-100mm F2.8 ASPH. ($1,499.99 direct)($741.67 at Amazon UK) is pro-level zoom for Micro Four Thirds cameras. It covers a 70-200mm field of view in terms of full-frame 35mm photography, equaling the classic range that is the go-to lens for many a wedding and event photographer. Panasonic's take on the design isn't perfect—the edges could be a bit sharper—but it's optically stabilized and compact. It's pricey, but if you're a Micro Four Thirds shooter and are looking for a lens of this type, it's the best option on the market at this time. Olympus plans to release a 40-150mm f/2.8 zoom as part of its line of pro-grade lenses late next year, but based on the prototype it's a much larger lens, and no details have been revealed about pricing. The lens measures just 3.9 by 2.7 inches (HD), weighs 12.7 ounces, and uses the same 58mm filters as its wide-angle sibling, the Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm F2.8 ASPH.($741.67 at Amazon UK). It's an internal zoom design...

Panasonic Lumix G X Vario 35-100mm f/2.8 Lens

Panasonic announced its Lumix G X VARIO 35-100mm f/2.8 / POWER O.I.S. lens in mid-September 2012 as a 'companion' to the Lumix G X Vario 12-35mm f/2.8 ASPH lens, which was released earlier in the year. Like the 12-35mm lens, it is splash- and dust-resistant.

This "Prime" zoom lens is expensive but you get what you pay for!

I have been testing this lens for a few days on my Lumix G5 and have found it doesn't take badly shot photos or videos and magically transform them into masterpieces!, but when you take very good photos and video they looks amazing!
