The Samsung Galaxy A5 has an ultraslim, aluminium design and an excellent selfie camera. But although it costs less than the flagship S5, its mid-range spec means that it's still over-priced for what you get.

The Samsung Galaxy A5 is the big brother to the recent A3 . Both phones echo the sleek, metallic design style of last year's Galaxy Alpha , although this one has a bigger screen and an improved camera -- but is that enough to justify the £100 jump in price? It's on sale now for around £349.
Stylish and slim design; quality HD screen; decent quad-core processor; 13-megapixel camera with 5-megapixel camera on front; expandable memory
Not cheap
The Samsung Galaxy A5 is the sort of phone that has me questioning why the vast majority of people should buy a flagship device. After all, when a £369.99 device ticks almost all of the right boxes, why pay more?
Classy design; Water-resistant; Bright; vivid screen
Old; ugly software; Not on Android Nougat (yet
The Samsung Galaxy A5 is a slick and stylish phone that copes with your typical day-to-day life and looks good doing it too. The only caveat is its price: £349 is a lot of money, especially as there are cheaper options available that sport better specs.
Samsung's onto a winner with its all-metal phones, which started with last year's almost-fully aluminium Galaxy Alpha ; The A5 looks and feels great in the hand, and its slim body makes it easy to pocket; It's large 5.2-inch display is clear and bright, although it only sports a 720p panel.
With its good looks and solid performance, the A5 is a solid performer from Samsung; There's a lack of Android Lollipop though, as the A5 only packs in 4.4.4 KitKat, and it's littered with Samsung's own "enhancements".
Flagship smartphones are often the ones checked out by reviewers, but companies still make mid-range options, and the Galaxy A5 might be Samsung's best take on that middle ground yet.
Feels great in the hands; Features metal in its design; and even supports upgradeable memory; Mostly decent performance all round; Takes nanoSIM; Excellent battery life; Decent assortment of cameras for a mid-range phone
Battery isn't removable; Slowdowns can be seen; particularly when you're trying to see a photo you've taken; Arrives with Android 4.4 "KitKat"; not the latest "Lollipop

This mobile looks so cool and camera clarity are awesome and good display clarity and also i like the mobile shape. only one disadvantage is inbuilt battery(this is main drawback of this)
I think that the mobile phone is beautiful and has good compatibility with the android system, but when I bought it, I was "specially" told about how it wouldn't get hot easy; that was a lie.
Beautiful design and good battery life
Gets hot easily and SD card imcompability
brilliant phone. Bought as a gift for my son who is absolutely thrilled with it. Swapped from IPhone 5c and couldn't be happier, much better than the 5c in his opinion the internal memory is great.
This is an awesome product but not for geeks ,who go for spec vs price comparision..nThis is for people who want a premium looking ,mid-range, branded phone(samsung,sony,htc..).
