Amazing Phone

An amazing phone with great features. Games run smooth and picture quality is great. It has a premium feel to it but at half the price! I highly recommend this phone. Comes with 5 built in themes but you can download more. The only problem is the absence of an LED notification light.

Lightweight; 5MB Front Camera; Excellent Design; Ultra power saving mode

No LED notifications

Im very happy with my samsung A5

Im very happy with my samsung A5, my unique concern should be about the sim slots.. you need put or a sim or a memory in ones..... I think that if you are getting a dual sim telephone you are waiting for put 2 sim cards plus memory card to increment the capacity.... Thanks a lot. JC.

Samsung Galaxy A5 review: Marvellous exterior, mid-range interior

As a nod to where Samsung is heading with design, the Galaxy A5 is a great example of quality. Indeed, we'd rather have one in the pocket than the flagship Galaxy S5 - but that's just about to be replaced with the S6 come April, which fuses the best of both design and power worlds together.

Delightful design (prefer it to SGS5); bright and colourful display; fair price makes more sense than original Galaxy Alpha; powerful enough to cater for most; 4G connectivity

Outspecced by Sony Z3 Compact; not Android Lollipop (which we think will smooth out OS slickness); would like a more significant battery; low-light camera ability

Samsung Galaxy A5 review

The Samsung Galaxy A5 is the big brother to the recent A3 . Both phones echo the sleek, metallic design style of last year's Galaxy Alpha , although this one has a bigger screen and an improved camera -- but is that enough to justify the £100 jump in price? It's on sale now for around £349.

Stylish and slim design; quality HD screen; decent quad-core processor; 13-megapixel camera with 5-megapixel camera on front; expandable memory

Not cheap

Samsung Galaxy A5

The Samsung Galaxy A5 is the sort of phone that has me questioning why the vast majority of people should buy a flagship device. After all, when a £369.99 device ticks almost all of the right boxes, why pay more?

Classy design; Water-resistant; Bright; vivid screen

Old; ugly software; Not on Android Nougat (yet

The Samsung Galaxy A5 is a slick and stylish phone that copes with your typical day-to-day life and looks good doing it too. The only caveat is its price: £349 is a lot of money, especially as there are cheaper options available that sport better specs.

Samsung's onto a winner with its all-metal phones, which started with last year's almost-fully aluminium Galaxy Alpha ; The A5 looks and feels great in the hand, and its slim body makes it easy to pocket; It's large 5.2-inch display is clear and bright, although it only sports a 720p panel.

With its good looks and solid performance, the A5 is a solid performer from Samsung; There's a lack of Android Lollipop though, as the A5 only packs in 4.4.4 KitKat, and it's littered with Samsung's own "enhancements".

Samsung Galaxy A5 review

We're big fans of the new Galaxy S6, but if you can't afford one (much less the pricier Galaxy S6 Edge) then the mid-range Galaxy A5 should be on your shortlist. Here's our Samsung Galaxy A5 review

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2015) review

Samsung's a good brand for trying things out. After the mixed reviews to the Galaxy S5 it needed something big, as the Galaxy Alpha and Note 4 both accelerated the design story while keeping up with the high-power internals.

Samsung Galaxy A5 review - hands on

There's no denying that Samsung's new Galaxy A series are a gorgeous set of metal smartphones. Ranging from the 4.5in Galaxy A3 to the giant 5.5in Galaxy A7 , their all-metal unibodies set a new standard for mid-range smartphones, showing that you don't need to splash out on expensive flagship...

Samsung Galaxy A5 Expert Review

It's not unfair to say that Samsung's phones have looked a bit uninspiring of late. Whilst the phones always performed well you wouldn't look at a Samsung phone and think "Wow, I really like the look of that!" They'd settled into the role of the dull, safe option – a bit like Volvo.
