Happy with the phone

I ordered this phone quickly as my old one broke. Speedy delivery, I happy with the phone but as far as I'm aware this is not the 2016 model.

Mid-range marvel: Samsung's Galaxy A5 reviewed

Flagship smartphones are often the ones checked out by reviewers, but companies still make mid-range options, and the Galaxy A5 might be Samsung's best take on that middle ground yet.

Feels great in the hands; Features metal in its design; and even supports upgradeable memory; Mostly decent performance all round; Takes nanoSIM; Excellent battery life; Decent assortment of cameras for a mid-range phone

Battery isn't removable; Slowdowns can be seen; particularly when you're trying to see a photo you've taken; Arrives with Android 4.4 "KitKat"; not the latest "Lollipop

It has the looks and is a very decent performer, but the Galaxy A5, even though much lower priced than the Alpha, faces stiff competition from the new generation of devices that offer much more at even lower prices. Rs.

Impressive design; Good cameras; Good performance

Expensive for its specs; SIM and microSD card slots combined

High on specs and not so much on price, Samsung is finally getting the hang of the Indian market through its Galaxy A series. The phones are surprisingly well built like their recent high end brethren and offer much better money-looks proposition than the company's "budget" segment.

Thin; light and strong metal body; Vibrant AMOLED display; Awesome speakers and bundled earphones; 4G; NFC and 16GB storage; Decent battery backup

Not-so-impressive front camera; Optional Dual SIM/expandable storage capability; Doesn't support OTG

Samsung started changing its track from polycarbonate build, changed its usual design language and finally launched the Galaxy Alpha smartphone with metal chassis, but it still had a plastic back panel.

Brilliant display; Good design and solid build quality; Good camera

Hybrid dual SIM might not be useful for everyone; Metal back is prone to scratches; Slightly on the expensive side

Samsung Galaxy A5 is 5 inch super AMOLED display device having 1280 x 720 (HD) pixel resolution with 294 ppi pixel density. It is running on Kitkat OS. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Quad-core 1.2 GHz processor along with 2GB RAM. With rear 13MP camera and front camera of 5MP, it looks amazing.

Stylish look; Great performance; Good battery support

Expensive; No Lollipop OS; Only Nano-SIM

The Galaxy A5 is slightly better than when compared to the Galaxy A3 handset. The A5 comes packed in a full metal body as seen on the A3. A5 is powered by qualcomm snapdragon chipset with 4G support and this handset also comes loaded with some extra features that are missing on the A3.

Samsung has come out with its new flashy A-series phone, the Samsung Galaxy A5. After facing competition from the likes of Xiaomi and One Plus One and the massive failure of the Samsung Galaxy S5, the company has finally woken up to the need for an appealing form factor.

Samsung, which has never had any shortage of models available in the market at any given time, has launched a new assault on the mid-range segment. The new Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 slot in alongside the new Galaxy E5 and Galaxy E7, and many of the features of the two new lines overlap.

Good; Good design; Great cameras; Lightweight

Bad; Expensive; Battery life could have been better
