I LOVE LOVE LOVE this phone!!!!
Does not have led light to show missed calls Does not log sent texts Does not immediately show favourite contacts Very inferior to my Galaxy note To sensitive to touch
When put next to the Galaxy S5, it's hard to find reasons to buy the A5 instead. It's not a bad phone, but the S5 is simply better value now that it has dropped in price.
Neatly balancing performance and price, the A5 has plenty to like - but there are strong rivals nipping at its heels Great build quality Punchy AMOLED screen Good battery life Decent cameras Video could be a little sharper Some better-specced competition Audio is disappointing
Most of the bits you love from Samsung’s Galaxy range, but for half the price. What’s not to like?
Flagship features like water resistance, AMOLED screen, Decent performance and battery life, Killer design
Outdated Android, Beaten on specs by cheaper rivals, Camera only works well in good light
Samsung's off to a great start in 2017 with this well-priced, well-designed and well-specced Android. It's not going to outshine the S7 (or the upcoming S8), but it more than holds its own in the mid-range class, offering a good experience all round for its £369 price tag.
Premium looks, fast charging, waterproof

great screen, superb design, super battery life, water and dust-resistant (IP68), expandable storage, broad wireless mobile network frequency coverage, USB Type-C, fast SoC
no OTG, USB 2.0 only, body SAR could be lower, no dual-SIM, PWM, weak system performance, slow eMMC storage
After a few weeks of using the Galaxy A5 2017 on a daily basis, our conclusion is that it is a solid upper mid-ranger that easily holds its own around flagships. It has its quirks. It is also not the most pocket-friendly upper mid-ranger. Samsung phones are not cheap.
Beautiful design and solid, premium build with water and dust resistance, Handy, crisp, sharp 5.2-inch display, Network Mode lets you peg 2G and 3G, 4G LTE support for all 4G mobile networks in Nigeria, Very good battery life
Quirky experience with fingerprint scanner, Network Mode does not let you peg to 4G LTE networks
The mid-range smartphone market is red hot right now and the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) is right up there among the front-runners. And although it was launched early on in 2017, its design, specifications and all-round performance have been holding up well.
Overall, the Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 is an excellent midranger with a combination of Samsung flagship features you won’t find in any other Samsung phone in the market. It ticks all the boxes with great design, IP68 water resistance and other flagship features but isn’t the equal in terms of...
