Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G SM-N986B 12GB 256GB

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra might look like a smartphone, but there is so much power in it that it operates like a computer. And then, there's the magic pen!

The most powerful pen: One of the most obvious features of the Note 20 Ultra is the S Pen. Samsung says this is Galaxy's most powerful pen and with it comes "groundbreakingly low latency", Bluetooth, enhanced gesture control and more, for a more realistic pen experience. The S Pen is capable of transforming your scribble into text which you can copy and paste, and then you can export your notes as a PPT or Word file for easy sharing.

Some notable numbers: The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is 5G ready, with 256GB Storage (expandable to 1TB) and a highly-efficient 4500mAh Battery with more than 50% charge in 30 minutes thanks to the 25W Super Fast Charger.

An awesome display: As you'd expect, the display is something to behold. A 6.9" edge Quad HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity-O Display with 120Hz refresh rate for perfectly seamless viewing.

World-leading cameras: The camera set up is another Samsung special: 12MP Ultra-Wide + 108MP Wide + 12MP Telephoto Cameras with Laser AF Sensor and up to 50x Super Resolution Zoom. On the front is a 10MP Selfie Camera

Highest resolution video: The 8K video recording at 24fps (7680x4320) is the highest-resolution video available in a smartphone. The pro-grade controls let you be super creative with your footage which you can edit in-camera.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G (256GB, Black) AU - Excellent review

Hannah Stryker / Review Geek The iPhone 14 is the latest iteration of Apple’s flagship device. Since its launch, the iPhone has set the standard of what a smartphone is, what it does, and how it looks. Fifteen years later, it’s still doing that.

Top-notch cameras, Amazing display, Snappy performance, Great battery life

It's just "this year's iPhone"

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G (256GB, Black) AU - Excellent review

The iPhone 14 isn’t much of an upgrade over the iPhone 13, but it’s still a great device and an upgrade for anyone coming from the iPhone 11 or older.

Great camera, Good battery, Emergency features are cool, Still excellent performance

Display could use some upgrades

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G (256GB, Black) AU - Excellent review

The Apple iPhone 14 is no match for the just-released iPhone 14 Pro, but if you ignore that, it’s one of the most effective phones around.

Great cameras, front and back, Fast performance, Good battery life, Innovative safety features

Design too familiar, Some average features

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G Mystic Black SM-N986BZKGNZO review

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is the most versatile big-screen phone yet, making it best for power users who are willing to pay a premium. The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is nearly the pinnacle of Android phablets — and it should be for $1,299.

Dynamic 6.9-inch 120Hz display, Smoother S Pen performance, Streams Xbox games, Powerful 50x zoom camera and laser autofocus, Very good battery life

Expensive, Camera bump is pretty big, Curved display can annoy at times

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G Mystic Black SM-N986BZKGNZO review

An Ultra-impressive flagship phone from Samsung, but there is a worthy alternative

Big; colourful screen; Great camera and zoom; Smart design

Beaten for audio performance; Rivals deliver more detailed video
