Samyang T-S 24mm f/3.5 ED AS UMC review

Tilt-and-shift lenses feature the film-plane-movement control normally associated with large-format monorail or studio cameras. They are considered to be very specialist kit designed for architectural and landscape photography where adjustment of the plane of focus and distortion control are key...

I had to pass on this one

I opted to purchase this lens for use on my D600 instead of purchasing the Nikon version because the Nikon 24mm tilt/shift lens carried on the same tradition as their other tilt/shift lenses of not having these two functions rotate independently of one another.

The brand new Samyang 24mm with tilt & shift functionality is a full-frame, wide-angle lens that will soon be available to buy with a Canon, Nikon, Sony or Pentax mount. The lens, which Samyang rates as the most advanced glass in its whole lens catalogue, contains 16 elements arranged in 11 groups,...

Astounding lens

An astounding lens, all manual but that's not such a big deal with a tilt shift lens. Produce great sharp, contrasty images. Highly recommended.

Consistent Output; Durable; Easily Interchangeable; Price; Quality; Sharp Focus; Strong Construction

Manual focus

Don't expect to take a lens similar to Canon or Nikon T-S lens... Has very smooth focus ring. Maybe it could have a F32 aperture option. The lock buttons are solid but don?′t pass this idea. The box and package is not very good also.

Samyang T-S 24mm F3.5 ED AS UMC

Even if it sold at its $1,299 MSRP, the Samyang T-S 24mm F3.5 ED AS UMC lens would be an excellent value when compared with first-party lenses like the Nikon PC-E Nikkor 24mm f/3.5 ED ($2,199.95) and the Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II ($1,899).

Wide-angle field of view; Full-frame coverage; Very affordable; Shift, tilt, and rotation adjustment

Some barrel distortion; Should be stopped down for best image quality; Flare can be an issue

Great alternative to $2K Nikon

I bought this lens for architectural photography and I'm thrilled with it. The ability to tilt and shift simultaneously is a tremendous advantage over the Nikon, to say nothing of the 67% savings in cost. Sharpness is excellent between f/8 and f/11, and distortion is minimal and easy to fix in post.

Samyang T-S 24mm F/3.5 ED AS UMC for Canon - Brand New review

The Apple iPhone 14 isn’t a huge upgrade on the iPhone 13, yet it still is a great phone with a top camera, good battery life and all the iOS benefits.

Clever safety features, Very good battery life, Reliable camera, Fun colours, You’ve got an ageing iPhone: If you’re on an iPhone 11 or older, then the changes here will make a notable difference.

Stuck on a 60Hz display, Minimal differences to the iPhone 13, You’ve got an iPhone 13: The changes from Apple’s previous phone aren’t enough to warrant an upgrade this year.

Samyang T-S 24mm F/3.5 ED AS UMC for Canon - Brand New review

The Apple iPhone 14 is no match for the just-released iPhone 14 Pro, but if you ignore that, it’s one of the most effective phones around.

Great cameras, front and back, Fast performance, Good battery life, Innovative safety features

Design too familiar, Some average features

Samyang T-S 24mm F/3.5 ED AS UMC for Canon - Brand New review

“The iPhone 14 isn't a huge upgrade compared to its predecessor. But with a great design, screen, performance, and cameras, that's far from a bad thing at all.”

Comfortable, high-end build, OLED screen looks fantastic, A15 chip performs great, Good camera upgrades, Dependable battery life, Helpful safety features

60Hz display, No telephoto camera, eSIM might be a pain for some
