I highly recommend the HXR-NX5U. It's beyond the needs of the average wedding videographer and should have a very long useful life. This is the camera that finally let me ditch tapes for good.
Where to start? The viewfinder and LCD are very high resolution; The zoom, focus, and iris rings are smooth and feel perfect; Unlike professional cameras, this model has a consumer HDMI output, AND unlike low-cost cameras, it also has the professional HDSDI output.
The optional 128 GB FMU128 flash unit is expensive, so I just bought a bunch of SDHC cards; The onboard and included microphones are good enough for interviews, but thankfully there are two professional XLR ports for attaching a better mic for event photography or for connecting to the house audio...
