TP-Link Archer D7 AC1750

Just take a look at the price tag -- the Archer D7, an AC1750 router costs AU$169 in Australia. That's a $90 difference between that and its bigger brother, the Archer D9 . UK citizens don't get quite the same deal at £129 compared to £159, but it's still a substantial saving. The sacrifice

Despite the drop in price; the Archer D7 still performs at the 5GHz end of town; and has nearly all the features of the D9

Options and web UI design aren't as advanced as competitors; and 2.4GHz performance isn't great

TP-Link recently released the Archer T8E, an AC1750 based PCI Express dual band wireless adapter, to complement its family of AC1750/AC1900 products. The T8E boasts the next generation WiFi standard (802.11ac) which is capable of delivering up to 1300Mbps when paired with another 802.11ac device...

TP-LINK does not operate on the bleeding edge. While others rush buggy AC2350 and AC3200 products to market, the company has yet to release its first AC1900 class router. Its latest router is the Archer C8 I'm reviewing today.

everything works as expected

As others have mentioned, this works fine, easy set-up but youd better have an unused duplex outlet to plug it in because there is no pass-thru (hence the 4-stars). Not a very attractive device, but I placed it in a low-profile location under a table and it has expanded coverage into my backyard,...

TP-LINK ARCHER C8 AC1750 Dual Band Wireless AC Gigabit Router - White (VV3984)

I have been using the TP-LINK Archer C8 for a few months now. The router features simultaneous, dual-band connections, offering maximum speeds of 450Mbps on 2.4GHz and 1300Mbps on 5GHz, in conjunction with gigabit Ethernet for your wired devices.

It was okay while it lasted.

Good router while it lasted. Broke today roughly 4 years after I bought it. Of course it's out of warranty. Reception was okay. We have a 2000 sq ft house and the speed and reception was not good even when the router was in the middle of the house and forget using it outside.

Good Router

Kudos to my local store for having this in stock. This router is not easy to find in any store, at least in my locale. While some folks say that the router is difficult to set up, I found this set up to go rather smoothly. There was no difficulty in getting the router to match my old configuration.

I have used two of these units now in customers homes, and after my 4 week check in, everything is working fantastic. They indicated the signal strength and range is far superior to their older unit which the ISP gave them.

Small Footprint; Signal Strength; USB 3.0

"Gone Like The Wind" In Speed!

We needed to replace our other router because it kept dropping the signal all the time so we took a chance and ordered this one. First: With this router, you can surf just as fast on an Android Phone as you can online with high-speed internet, in Wi-Fi mode!

AMAZING 802.11AC dual band router

My Archer C8 was Firmware Version: 3.16.27 Build 20140903 Rel. 75232, Hardware Version: Archer C8 v1 (US)

*received this router fully upgraded to latest US firmware revision and pretty much all was superb and easy to set up

-My only real grief is the white color and no wall mount :( but that is not even worth hacking off an egg for; since that's just cosmetics
