The newer laptops are so thin that they do not have build in RJ45 ports anymore. This usb dongle is great for connecting to wired network for downloading large files and OS updates. I used this to update my laptop to windows 10 1903.

Great bit of kit, works perfectly under windows, Centos7 and Fedora23... saved my bacon building a demo system when it wouldnt bridge over wireless.

USB Cable is of excellent quality and nicely folds inwards. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.
