Great lens for slow scenes, portraiture and landscapes. The auto focus is no match for fast paced sports shots but at this price its a handy addition to any camera bag.

I have used this lens on a beach photo shoot (so I dont have to get my feet wet) and this lens OUTPERFORMED my expectations. It's performed average shooting the runway fashion show so not so great with moving indoor subjects because of the blah low light capabilities.
I am very happy with the Purchase. this was a gift for my wife and she absolutely loves this len.
This lens from Tamron is worth a try if you are a beginner, The auto focus is noisy, Wide open it is OK till 135mm but after that don't expect crispy sharp images and chromatic aberrations also rise.
only thing about this lens is the more you zoom the shaker it gets.
This budget superzoom option boasts close focusing and low-dispersion glass, but what do we think of it overall?
Close-up facility
No image stabilisation
Tamron's lens feels remarkably lightweight for its type. This is almost certainly because there is no image-stabilisation (IS) technology, which equivalent lenses from Nikon, Canon and Sigma lenses all offer. For the same reason, it is also no more than one-third of the price of its competitors.

Camera is a quality seller of camera equipment. I have always had great service.
This lens is an incredible bargain.
Consistent Output; Fast / accurate auto-focus; Lightweight; Strong Construction
This lens slid under my radar for a long time. How did I not know about this I have two Canon lens (85mm and a 50mm) both manufactured by Canon. I needed something that I could focus from a greater length and this was it. I ordered a 70-200mm from Canon and it was just too heavy.
I bought the Tamron LD A17 70-300 mm lens for my Sony A-65. I had two good reasons for choosing the Tamron: the price and the warranty. It takes beautiful long-distance shots and macros. I think I received a great deal and will be looking at Tamron for any future lenses.
