I use a Canon 5D Mk IV camera. This lens is a lightweight version of the L series lens of the same focal length range. It is also slightly smaller and much quieter when focusing, which the benefit of the STM technology.

I use this for beautiful shots for my YouTube tech channel. It is a well built and great piece of glass. I use it with a Canon 80D and this is my goto lens.

The comparatively big EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 STM IS has a pretty good build quality - not quite L class but not quite on the usual kit lens level either. The lens body is made of high quality plastics based on a metal mount.

I bought this lens a few months ago and have since used it for pretty much everything. Nightclub photography. Astrophotography. Landscapes. You name it. this lens have excelled at it all.

The first copy of this lens had issues with auto-focus, and I returned it. Then I got another copy from Amazon and it works PERFECT. This is definitely not a L lens, but it's perfect for video shooters, because 1) it has STM 2) it has IS. Enough said.
