This is the best lens I have tried to date with my new Canon D60. I get a lot of shots of people from far enough away that they are totally unaware I am shooting a candid shot.

This is a good starter lens that allows the user to get used to using their camera with little to worry about with the lens. It has good resolution even at the extremes of the zooming.

This lens is a great lens for walk around; Coupled with my Canon Rebel t1i it takes sharp pictures due to the high quality glass

How this lens zooms makes it get some dust underneath the from element of the lens; Just google "canon 28-135mm lens + dust; And many results will come up

The only thing i dislike is that it collapses its own weight. But other than that wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!

COLLAPSE ON IT OWN WEIGHT

The Stabalizer is awesome for those long hand-held zooms that are dificult to hold steady. (but my gyro sometimes vibrates) The focus and zoom rings are what I expect from the best. I love the manual focus override when in AF Mode. This is the perfect all purpose lens for my new 400D.

I am stunned at the image quality this lens has produced for me. Action shots are crystal clear thanks to IS which is extremely quiet compared to my other Canon lenses. And indoor shots without a flash are a breeze, thanks to the 3.5 aperture and IS.

NOT WIDE ENOUGH FOR WIDE ANGLE SHOTS ON 1.6 DIGITAL CAMERAS

Though not the image quality desired for PRO use, this lens is very capable for the hobbyist. Close work with average to good lighting has resulted in some clear quality images with my Canon 40D. I was not as pleased with the far range as the focus seems soft.
