Nikon 24mm f/1.4G ED AF-S Nikkor

This lens is a little overhyped. I've used the Canon 24mm f/1.4L II, and the Nikon is really only slightly better in some aspects as seen in the post below. I wouldn't switch systems for this lens. The reason you buy this lens is for the f/1.4.

f/1.4; sharp*; gorgeous bokeh; unusually thick lens hood; solid build; great feeling MF ring

*sharpness at f/1.4 is a little overhyped; AF sometimes is slightly inconsistent; CA regardless of aperture

Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24mm f/1.4G ED

The AF-S Nikkor 24mm f/1.4G ED ($1,999.95) is a fast wide-angle lens for Nikon SLRs . It's the widest f/1.4 prime in the Nikkor lens family, and can focus close so you can capture images with a shallow depth of field.

Wide f/1.4 maximum aperture; Captures crisp images; 9.8-inch close focus; Full-frame coverage

Dim corners at wide aperture; Edge softness at f/1.4; Shows some barrel distortion; Not stabilized; Pricey

Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24mm f/1.4G ED Review

It's the widest f/1.4 prime in the Nikkor lens family, and can focus close so you can capture images with a shallow depth of field. If you're looking for a fast wide-angle lens, it's a solid choice, but one that comes with a premium price tag. If you're willing to sacrifice some light-gathering capability, the AF-S Nikkor 24mm f/1.8G ED ($676.95 at Amazon) is a solid alternative that's far less expensive. If you don't want to sacrifice the f/1.4 aperture, look at the Sigma 24mm F1.4 DG HSM Art ($849.00 at Amazon) , which earns Editors' Choice marks thanks to its mix of performance and price. DesignThe Nikkor 24mm ($1,796.95 at Amazon) measures 3.5 by 3.3 inches (HD), weighs about 1.4 pounds, and supports 77mm front filters. The barrel is finished in black polycarbonate with gold accents, with a rubberized manual focus ring and a single toggle switch that turns the autofocus system on or off. A re...

Nikkor AF-S 24mm f/1.4 G ED (DX) - Review / Lab Test Report

The Nikkor AF-S 24 f/1.4 is an impressive lens. At large apertures it produces very sharp images in the image center with somewhat soft corners wide open, but stopped down it shows very good to excellent sharpness across the whole (DX) frame. Distortion is very low and CAs are moderate.

Nikon HG 8x42 L DCF

The HG L series includes ones of the most expensive, top-of-the-range Nikon binoculars; the producer ensures that they used ?everything the best" while producing them. It consists of roof prism models with the following parameters: 8x20, 10x25, 8x32, 10x32, 8x42 and 10x42.

very solid casing; good transmission; perfectly sharp image across the whole field of view; low chromatic aberration in the centre of the field of view; very low astigmatism; quite well corrected coma; low brightness loss on the edge of the field; low distortion; very good whiteness rendering; very...

a bit too high chromatic aberration on the edge of the field of view

Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24mm f/1.4G ED review

A wide angle lens with a bright maximum aperture of f/1.4 should be of interest to those who like shooting by available light as the brightness fades, or indoors.

Excellent optical quality; Fast focusing; Superb build quality

Occasionally struggles to focus accurately enough for use at f/1.4; Slight barrel distortion; Pricey

Nikon 24mm 1.4

The Nikon 24mm F1.4 is a dream lens to use. Its centre sharpness is extraordinary with great edge sharpness from about F4 onwards. The build quality is typical Nikon pro level and the focus is swift and quiet.

Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24mm ED 24 F1.4 f/1.4 G D700 D3s - Brand New review

The Apple iPhone 14 isn’t a huge upgrade on the iPhone 13, yet it still is a great phone with a top camera, good battery life and all the iOS benefits.

Clever safety features, Very good battery life, Reliable camera, Fun colours, You’ve got an ageing iPhone: If you’re on an iPhone 11 or older, then the changes here will make a notable difference.

Stuck on a 60Hz display, Minimal differences to the iPhone 13, You’ve got an iPhone 13: The changes from Apple’s previous phone aren’t enough to warrant an upgrade this year.

Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24mm ED 24 F1.4 f/1.4 G D700 D3s - Brand New review

The Apple iPhone 14 is no match for the just-released iPhone 14 Pro, but if you ignore that, it’s one of the most effective phones around.

Great cameras, front and back, Fast performance, Good battery life, Innovative safety features

Design too familiar, Some average features

Nikon AF-S Nikkor 24mm ED 24 F1.4 f/1.4 G D700 D3s - Brand New review

“The iPhone 14 isn't a huge upgrade compared to its predecessor. But with a great design, screen, performance, and cameras, that's far from a bad thing at all.”

Comfortable, high-end build, OLED screen looks fantastic, A15 chip performs great, Good camera upgrades, Dependable battery life, Helpful safety features

60Hz display, No telephoto camera, eSIM might be a pain for some
