OnePlus has changed a lot. The brand originally started out by releasing a single flagship phone a year sold at a substantially lower price to its more established competitors. Lately that’s less true.

As I said in the beginning, the Nord CE 2 has more shades of Oppo than OnePlus. It is very much evident that the future lineup of OnePlus phones, especially on the budget and mid-end, will have similarities to that of Oppo phones.

For its price, the second-gen Nord CE is a solid offering. It might not be the most exciting phone on the market, but it gets the job done without any serious compromises. And all for a very fair price indeed.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 isn’t the most exciting phone from the brand, but it seems to be a package that includes a lot of fantastic specs for a lower price than a lot of its competition. The camera sounds good, there’s a lot of power and, most importantly, the price is affordable.

The OnePlus Nord CE 2 is an impressive affordable mid-ranger, with only a few flaws - though the biggest is OnePlus’s lacklustre commitment to software updates, which will likely see the phone out of updates by the end of next year.
