Purchased this camera in September 2015 after my previous camera(Nikon P510) went bad. Pros: Cons

This is truly a super camera..I have over the years used many cameras, film and digital..I still have and use my Canon 10D with a large selection of lenses..I wish this camera were available back when I invested all those bucks in the DSLR..This is a do it all photo taking machine.

The Sony HX400 is an excellent extended zoom camera that's a good fit as a family camera because of its versatility. It's not recommended for enthusiasts and intermediate photographers, but casual shooters and even beginners will find plenty to like about this camera.

Firstly...there is no such thing as a semi DSLR, its either a point and shoot or a DSLR. Sony HX400V is an advanced point and shoot camera, and what a camera it is. I own a Nikon D5200 DSLR and have also used Sony HX400V.

A good product for beginners and photography enthusiasts. For all practical purposes this product is sufficient to posses. I am not talking about professionals who make a living out of photography only. The product they will buy will depend upon their requirement.

I love this camera, it's excellent, though the lens cap leaves a lot to be desired! No chance of getting it off if you have any nails at all. It took over a week to arrive, which wasn't great and when it did arrive the camera box was in a bigger box without any packaging so whenever the box was...

I love this camera. Being a casual camera user the Sony is very easy to use with help screens for all menu functions. It is also feature rich with automatic viewfinder detection, Wi-Fi, GPS and fantastic Ziess lens. I think I made a great choice! For the price it can't be beat.

Fantastic camera. Great features. Easy to use. Colors are the best. Light weight. Only downside for me is no RAW format and the processing delay time between photos. Price was the best I could find.....outstanding deal.
