The Sony HX400V is a first-rate super-zoom that improves on its predecessor in numerous ways. The headline improvements – a new sensor and powerful processor are welcome, but it's the smaller incremental changes that impressed me more.

I have owned over a dozen camera's from different makes and models, amonst others several SONY's. My last purchase was a SONY DSC-HX400V and I have been a proud owner of this device for 2.5 years during which the device worked without problems.

I love it! I've only been using this camera for about 2 weeks now and I can say I am so amaze of the image quality of this camera. It does everything and the zoom range is awesome. I strongly recommend Sony and Crutchfield to anyone looking for a great digicam.

Bridge cameras continue to be one area of the compact camera market that remains buoyant in an otherwise declining arena. The HX400 is one of the larger bridge models available, closely resembling an entry-level or even enthusiast DSLR/T in overall body size at least.

A good product for beginners and photography enthusiasts. For all practical purposes this product is sufficient to posses. I am not talking about professionals who make a living out of photography only. The product they will buy will depend upon their requirement.

I have bought other models of bridge cameras and they don't come close for the value. You will not be disappointed.
