World War II games seem to still be on the rise as again we get one thrown in our lap. Does it meet our standards?

Only £4 (Decemeber 2010) and it is great, control a squad of men and lead them on several missions ranging from the Brits even to the Germans. A vast arsenal of tanks and vehicles available. But what I was most shocked about was how people still play this game online!
This is a great game. Hadn't heard of it until I saw it at Circuit City for $3.29. Best three bucks I ever spent on a video game. I don't think it's really comparable to Company of Heroes, which I've played since '06.
"...command vast forces in Faces of War. Due to the unpredictable AI, you can't count on your troops to behave sensibly or shoot accurately, therefore micro-management comes to a frustrating new level; you'll constantly switch between your troops to prevent them from throwing grenades at each other.
destructable environments; great multiplayer modes; especially online
poor single player campaigns; poor AI
Cannon Fodder. That was the game I couldn't think of when previewing Faces of War all the way back in, err, September - finally, now I can sleep. Intentionally or not, Ubisoft's new action strategy game has a lot more in common with Codemasters' peerless Amiga classic than you would expect.
Faces of War is a fantastic Real Time Strategy game. There are three campaigns where you can play as either the Allied, German or Russian forces from 1944 through to the end of the war, involving events like the Warsaw Uprising and Commando raids against Normandy prior to D-Day.
This game is good but it has nothing on Company of Heroes. If you want an amazing war RTS then get Company of Heroes or World in Conflict when that comes out. Faces of War is good but it is a little poorly done in some places.
Platoon of Heroes.
Faces of War sends strategy gamers back to World War II to try their hand at commanding American, Russian, or German forces through a series of battles. So far it sounds like a hundred similar such games that have come before it, right? Not exactly.
Introduction The World War II RTS scene has become increasingly saturated over the last few years with each developer trying to find newer and more innovative ways to escape the deathly grasp of failure. This raises the unavoidable question: why do developers not learn from their mistakes?
