Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth

What lives in the dark corners of the earth? Jack Walters has glimpsed it - and that sight drove him to suicide. Thus opens Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, with the death of the main character. Hope? Purpose? Pleasure? To him, all meaningless.

Faces Of War Review

There's no doubt that the RTS genre is progressively moving forward, leaving behind it a barrage of samey and bland titles that have stifled it for a number of years. New features are being tested, and some of the big players in the industry such as THQ are now dipping their toes into the water of...

Faces of War Review

It's surprising that developers are still finding ways to screw up World War II real-time strategy games. Games like the fantastic Company of Heroes should be the rule by this point, not the exception, seeing as developers have stacks of games to pick apart to see what works and what doesn't.

Intense combat with loads of enemies; Detailed visuals

Awkward; unresponsive control scheme; Artificial intelligence interferes with movement orders; Linear mission design; Some annoying language translation problems

Faces of War review

This game could have been a contender, and although it has made a valiant effort on all fronts, its underlying premise has resulted in a chaotic style of gameplay that leaves you wondering what might have been.

High level of graphical detail with some great looking explosions; and we really enjoyed being able to drive through a building with a tank

The audio; the control system and some fundamental game design elements

Faces of War Review

Being sort of a nut for the setting, I've played just about every World War 2 RTS game since the days of the original Close Combat. While the vast majority of titles have merely imitated the style and characteristics of their predecessors, few have been willing to introduce either the new concepts...

Faces of War Review

Outside of the few nice gameplay options, Faces of War offers absolutely nothing to gamers that are looking for a fulfilling World War strategy game.

Faces of War

Introduction The World War II RTS scene has become increasingly saturated over the last few years with each developer trying to find newer and more innovative ways to escape the deathly grasp of failure. This raises the unavoidable question: why do developers not learn from their mistakes?
