When I found this on clearance for $80 in an office store several years ago, I excitedly looked it up online to be sure it was listed as working with Linux, then got it. Unfortunately, unlike everything else I've used in Linux, the G3110 performed abysmally.

This product does a good job of scanning slides,except when they are quite dark. I usually scan them by themselves and then can solve the problem.. It is also nice to not to have to put a mask on the flatbed to scan slides. I t also does a good job with photos.

The picture quality is crystal clear. It looks just as real as the original picture put on the scan-bed. However, for a first time user I would not really recommend this as he or she may find it bit too advanced. But for a fairly technical person should be good.

impossible à ce jour de le faire fonctionner comme le précédent Scanjet G3110 qu'il doit remplacer car le nouveau ne contient pas le logiciel HP Photosmart que j'avais avec l'ancien scanner et qui permettait de faire des numérisations de négatifs et de diapositives.

well first of all -it setup great and it wouldn't scan at the first try,until i plugged in the little white plug that was already attached and then, it worked fine and it scans beautifully ,then and ever since,thanks HP for a wonderful product.

hp scanjet G3110 scanner is a good scanner in the market if you searching for a good one, as its image quality is very good as its gives you the clear image experience also very good resolution, your picture or documents doesn't get pixels problem while scanning with this scanner, its step up is...
