Nikon 14-24mm f2.8. Wow, Sharp and Brilliant.

Wow, what a lens, the 14-24mm f 2.8 packs a punch. This lens is the first of the 'Holy Trinity' of Nikon lenses. This lens makes Canon users envious. Canon has never replicated the design of this lens and from all accounts they can't?

What a Sweet, Sweet Lens

I live in the US but work overseas. I frequently travel to some remote areas of the country, giving me some unique photo opportunities. This lens is everything I was told it would be. The photos are sharp and the colors are beautiful.

Consistent Output; Durable; Easily Interchangeable; Fast / accurate auto-focus; Nice Bokeh; Strong Construction

I'm happy landscape photographer from the northern hemisphere Finland and I have always wanted to try Nikon gear... my sister is Nikon girl and when I visit her I sometimes keep her N body in my hands but this is all I can do with it...

Usable with canon, it's as sharp as lens can get, I got new dimension in landscape photographing with this lens, ++ Now I can have friends from both sides C&N..; Thank's Nikon for this piece of gold

Firs I thought manual focusing might be a problem with my 5dmk2; but I forgot that very soon after using it it's practically always in focus when 3ft away from the target and who needs filters nowadays anyway

Great for fun effect!

This lens is not good for general use, including portraits. Before purchasing it, realize that it is a specialty lens with lots of visual distortion. If you are looking for a general lens, the 24-70 is a better fit. Also, this lens is not for the dx camera user. It works best on full frame cameras.

Consistent Output; Durable; Easily Interchangeable; Fast / accurate auto-focus; Rugged; Strong Construction

The ultimate in ultra-wide for Nikons, the AF-S Nikkor 14-24mm 1:2.8G is the perfect addition to any kit. As a full frame lens it will be perfect on your D3, D700, or most modern Film SLRs from Nikon (it works perfectly on my F80).

- Sharp at any aperture; right open to f/2.8; - Sealed; can be used in downpour without any problems; - Comparable even with older film based SLRs (F4 and up

- G; no manual aperture control; - Front element is curved; preventing the application of a protective filter; - Weird slip on lens cap

Initially I got this lens for my D200 to try to get a wider angle than I was able to achieve with the 18-200 mm lens I have. Of course I didn't gain much of an additional angle because of that small sensor in the D200 but I benefited none the less.
