Scanner with great value!

It's every bit as easy to use as I had imagined the perfect desktop scanner ought to be. And it's also very fast in scanning in color. For the reasonable price, you can't go wrong with this scanner!

Good home document & photo scanner

When you first get the scanner, there's a mechanical latch on the bottom of the scanner that locks the scanner head in place during shipping. Make sure you unlock it! I spent an hour scratching my head when setting it up and I was ready to call tech support before I figured it out.

Solid simple scanner that works well; I'm using it to digitize a couple thousand of my parent's old pictures, and the software allows you to scan as many photos as you can fit in the scanner at a time, and it automatically parses each photo into it's own file..; Saving me a TON of time

Canon = Quality

I have just used my new Canon scanner to scan and send some tax documents. Works just as advertised. Very easy software to work with. Scans photos nicely. My previous Canon scanner outlived the driver updates.

Size, lightweight, simplicity, USB power source is nice; The price is right

Canon CanoScan LiDE220 Color Image Scanner

You can think of the Canon CanoScan LiDE220 Color Image Scanner ($89.99) as either a low-end photo scanner that can't scan film, or as a high-end model for people who don't need to scan film and don't want to pay extra for a feature they'll never use.

High-quality photo scans; Image enhancements include color restore and dust removal; Scans to searchable PDF and editable text formats

Extremely limited software; No photo editor; Inconsistent commands from one choice for scanning to the next

Canon CanoScan LiDE220 Color Image Scanner Review

You can think of the Canon CanoScan LiDE220 Color Image Scanner ($89.99) as either a low-end photo scanner that can't scan film, or as a high-end model for people who don't need to scan film and don't want to pay extra for a feature they'll never use. Either way, it offers excellent output quality, with a 4,800 pixel-per-inch (ppi) optical resolution and extras like automatic color restoration for faded photos. That's enough to make it our Editors' Choice. The LiDE220 ($379.99 at Amazon) is a refresh of, rather than a major upgrade from, the Canon CanoScan LiDE 210 Color Image Scanner , another top pick. It's also the higher-resolution, higher-priced alternative to the Canon CanoScan LiDE 120 Color Image Scanner ($257.99 at Amazon) , our Editors' Choice low-cost photo scanner, which delivers nearly as high-quality images at a lower price. One other competitor that needs mention is the Epson Perfection V19 ($69.99 at Amazon) , which also offers a 4,800ppi optical resolution and...

If you need to scan photographic prints and an occasional short text document, but don't need to scan film, the Canon CanoScan LiDE220 Color Image Scanner is our top pick.

Canon flat bed scanner

This is a flat bed scanner that's been used a lot since I bought it about 2 weeks ago. I've been scanning old family snapshots from the 1920s and 30's for hours on end. The pictures are clear and it's easy to use. There are a series of grouped icons on the lower right of your monitor above the time.

Haven't had a problem; Once in awhile you need to dust the flatbed; Old photos leave dust

Canon Office Products LiDE220 Document Scanner

There is a lot to like about this photo scanner and it works wonderfully for photographs, but it is not quite as adaptable to multiple tasks as some other models. It has a maximum optical resolution of 4800x4800 dpi, with digital interpolation that can boost that to up to 19,200x19,200 dpi for...

Canon CanoScan LiDE 220 review

Canon's CanoScan LiDE 220 is a slimline desktop scanner made from smart black plastic, with a finish on the lid that looks like machined alloy. There's no backlight for scanning film, but it can capture reflective documents at resolutions up to an extremely detailed 4,800 dots per inch (dpi) -...
