I had my LiDE 220 less than a year. It's a low budget scanner. It's compact and easy use when it's working. Lately I had hard time to connect. I tried several different cables. Today I found out that the mini USB port broken off and fell into the case.

This scanner is not native for Windows 10. It does not come with the appropriate drivers built in, who knows why. It's not like Windows 10 hasn't been around for almost 2 years now, and this is the very latest version of the otherwise astoundingly great CanoScan scanner.

IT works very well. Just needs software for Chrome and Android. Existing windows software is good. This is for the modern paperless office. So award yourself green points for buying. It does not print. However, it has very good resolution.

I have a Brother laser printer that I have owned since 2002 and it still rings like a bell. I am attracted to printers with scanners, but it simply isn't necessary for me to purchase one at this time. The CanoScan served my needs for price and usability.

I had a LiDE 110, and have a Xerox Documate 3125, and have had at least 3 other scanners. I'm not a neophyte. The scanner itself works well. The software is anything but user friendly. It is not even a little intuitive.

So far working well on my 32bit windows 10 installation, even after reboot. installed the latest driver strait from the website, before plunging it in. I didna€?t even touch the included CD. Will update this if i hit the USB drop-out problems others have reported.

Not even a year old, very little use. I scanned a total of around 50 pages over the past few months. Now it gives me a message that I need to unlock the scanning unit. Tried the troubleshooting steps, driver re-install, etc. Nothing works. Bought directly from Amazon. Very disappointed.

You can think of the Canon CanoScan LiDE220 Color Image Scanner ($89.99) as either a low-end photo scanner that can't scan film, or as a high-end model for people who don't need to scan film and don't want to pay extra for a feature they'll never use.
